Best Practices for On-Campus High Schools

Responds to items 1 and 2 in committee charge
  • Subcommittee will survey landscape and provide information on how these schools address challenges and what advantages they have accrued for their partner universities.
  • Subcommittee will contact schools directly and possibly visit (although visit might not occur prior to June 6)
  • Subcommittee may engage UCR students who attended high schools on a college campus

  • Subcommittee will articulate possibilities for STEM High School to support “broader impacts” sections for grants as well as how academic activity and career preparation on campus will be enhanced by the high school (e.g. student teaching)
  • Subcommittee will report on ongoing activities in collaboration with the STEM Academy
